Job Summary: The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II is responsible for supporting invasive cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures by functioning as a scrub technician in a high-acuity Cath/EP Lab environment. This role requires proficiency across a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety, procedural efficiency, and adherence to sterile technique while collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Schedule: Full-time, weekdays 6:30a–5p with one variable weekday off per week. On-call required: 1 weekend per month (5p Friday–6:30a Monday) and 4 weeknights per month (5p–6:30a next day). No weekend commitment outside of on-call.
Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in a variety of procedures including cardiac catheterizations, peripheral vascular interventions, structural heart procedures, and electrophysiology studies
- Maintain sterile field and ensure proper handling of instruments and equipment
- Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, and supplies prior to cases
- Assist physicians during invasive procedures with accuracy and efficiency
- Document procedures accurately; familiarity with Merge Hemo system preferred
- Monitor and respond to patient and procedural needs during cases
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weekday nights and weekend coverage
- Adhere to all patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare
- professionals Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of Cath Lab or EP Lab experience
- Demonstrated ability to scrub for a wide range of cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and procedural workflows
- Ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
- Ability to meet physical demands including standing for extended periods, wearing lead aprons, and assisting with patient movement
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
Graduate of an accredited Allied Health program such as
- Cardiovascular Technology
- Radiologic Technology
- Respiratory Therapy
- Exercise Science
- Cardiac or Vascular Sonography
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certifications
- BLS (BCLS) required
- ACLS required
- License
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) preferred
- RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) preferred
- ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) with Cardiac Interventional (CI) or Vascular Interventional (VI) accepted
