Intermediate/Senior Informix & Legacy Systems Developer

Seeking an experienced Informix & Legacy Systems Developer to support and modernize mission-critical ERP, supply chain, and warehouse management systems. The role focuses on legacy platform optimization, system integration, and performance improvements within Unix-based environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement solutions bridging legacy systems with modern applications (e.g., Informix 4GL to Genero BDL)
• Develop and maintain code using Informix 4GL, Genero BDL, SQL, and Unix shell scripting (Korn, Awk)
• Troubleshoot complex application issues and database performance bottlenecks
• Lead integration, UAT, and performance testing efforts
• Manage incidents, service requests, and maintain technical documentation
• Support API development and system integrations

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Informix 4GL, Genero BDL, and SQL
• Experience with IBM Informix Dynamic Server (IDS)
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux (HP-UX, AIX) and Windows environments
• Experience with Java, Python, or Perl
• Knowledge of EDI (810, 820), XML, REST/SOAP APIs
• Experience with Git-based version control tools

Preferred Experience:

• ERP Supply Chain processes (Order Management, Pick-Pack-Ship, Invoicing, BOM)
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and manufacturing workflows
• Exposure to SQL Server, Oracle, or Snowflake

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience with Informix 4GL and legacy systems
• Strong understanding of supply chain business processes
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments and API development
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with offshore teams
