IT Software Engineer Req 87668-1

• We are seeking a Senior/Lead IT Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, AWS, and Microservices architecture. This is a hands-on role focused on building cloud-native backend services, supporting production systems, and driving technical design within a distributed engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Java-based backend services on AWS (~50% hands-on)
• Design and build cloud-native, scalable microservices
• Troubleshoot production issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks
• Conduct code reviews and lead technical design discussions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on APIs and integrations
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and observability

Required Skills

• Strong experience with AWS (cloud-native architecture & distributed systems)
• Advanced Java / Kotlin development
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot & Microservices
• Expertise in REST API development (Swagger/OpenAPI)
• Strong knowledge of SQL & relational databases

Experience with NoSQL (DynamoDB / MongoDB / Cassandra)

• Hands-on with Kafka / event-driven architecture

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

• Strong skills in production support & observability (logging, monitoring, tracing)

Preferred Skills

• Technical leadership / team mentoring experience (3+ years)
• Strong experience in distributed systems design (resiliency, fault tolerance)
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration
