Mental Health Clinician (000474)

• Provide mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment services for adults with behavioral health conditions, substance use histories, and severe mental illness. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care and support treatment planning within a correctional healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for behavioral health and substance use disorders.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and counseling for adults experiencing severe mental illness and behavioral challenges.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and patient progress per clinical and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care and treatment goals.
• Maintain compliance with correctional facility protocols and healthcare regulations.

Requirements

• Must be local and able to travel to correctional facility.
• Ability to navigate facility security procedures and access gates.
• Completion of onboarding requirements (PREA, DOC, etc.).

Experience diagnosing and treating patients with behavioral problems, substance use histories, and severe mental illness.

• Preference for candidates with experience in clinical assessment and treatment of adult populations.
• Inpatient or related behavioral health experience preferred.

Education

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
