  • Seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing interventions, medication administration, and comprehensive patient care in a juvenile correctional setting. This role requires expertise in wound and ostomy care and strong clinical judgment to support optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct medication administration and maintain general medical inventory, including controlled substances.
  • Assess, plan, and implement care for patients with complex wounds (pressure injuries, surgical wounds, ulcers).
  • Provide specialized wound and ostomy (colostomy) care and management.
  • Monitor healing progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Review overall health conditions and prepare/evaluate nursing intervention plans.
  • Participate in staff trainings and maintain infection control standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Prepare required clinical and administrative reports.
  • Serve as a member of the facility's medical treatment team.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in New York State.
  • Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical (Med/Surg) experience.
  • Hands-on experience in wound care and colostomy/ostomy management.
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
