- Seeking a senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of a statewide HIV Medication Assistance Program (HMAP) IT project. This role involves managing end-to-end project execution, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and ensuring successful delivery aligned with business and technical requirements. The Project Manager will engage with senior stakeholders, oversee daily project activities, and maintain all required project documentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules and budgets; monitor expenditures
- Maintain project management artifacts aligned with PMBOK standards and state methodology
- Oversee implementation activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of project milestones
- Establish governance framework and enforce project controls
- Conduct stakeholder meetings, status updates, and executive presentations
- Act as liaison between IT teams and business stakeholders
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests across the project lifecycle
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of project management experience, including large-scale IT implementations
- Proven experience delivering complex projects within scope, budget, and schedule
- Strong experience in system deployments involving multiple stakeholders/clients
- Expertise in risk, cost, schedule, quality, testing, and communication management
Experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project), MS Office, and SharePoint
- Hands-on experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Experience managing vendors in large IT implementations
- Technical understanding of architecture, infrastructure, databases, and web technologies
- Healthcare domain experience, preferably in public health or related programs
Preferred Skills
Experience with COTS and SaaS implementations
- Advanced knowledge of SharePoint (sites, libraries, lists, groups)
