Job Description

  • AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. The IR Tech will assist physicians with a wide variety of minimally invasive vascular and nonvascular image-guided procedures while maintaining sterile technique and ensuring high-quality patient care. Candidates should have strong experience in Interventional Radiology, Hybrid OR, scrub procedures, and special procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare procedure rooms and imaging equipment for interventional procedures.
  • Maintain sterile field and perform scrub duties during procedures.
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures.
  • Prepare patient access sites and monitor patients throughout procedures.
  • Perform room circulation and equipment setup.
  • Utilize vascular closure systems including Perclose and StarClose.
  • Manage venous access including ports, PICC lines, and central venous lines.
  • Maintain equipment, inventory, supplies, and PACS.
  • Support a variety of abdominal, vascular, and genitourinary procedures.
  • Follow infection prevention protocols and sterile technique.
  • Float between campuses as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience.
  • First-time travelers accepted.

Experience in Interventional Radiology, Hybrid OR, Scrub Procedures, and Special Procedures required.

Experience with

  • Venous access and central line management
  • Equipment setup and patient monitoring
  • Sterile technique and room circulation
  • PACS
  • Inventory and equipment maintenance

Strong experience with procedures including

  • Angioplasty
  • Aortography
  • Chemoembolization
  • Embolization
  • Endograft placement
  • Liver biopsy
  • Mesenteric angiography
  • Renal angiography
  • Stent placement
  • IVC filter placement/removal
  • Central venous access and port placement
  • Dialysis graft interventions
  • Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy
  • TIPS
  • Upper and lower extremity angiography
  • Nephrostomy
  • Gastrostomy
  • Internal/External biliary drainage
  • Ureteral stent placement
  • Uterine artery embolization
  • License: New Jersey Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (NJDEP) (required by start date)

Certifications

  • ARRT (R) – Required
  • BLS – Required
  • ACLS – Required
  • ARRT (VI) – Preferred
