Shift Details

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 40 Hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation
• No On-Call

Job Summary

• Henry Ford Health System is seeking an experienced Radiology Tech / X-Ray Tech to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in ER and OR settings at Ascension St. John Hospital. The role requires expertise in trauma imaging, portable radiography, and patient care while maintaining high standards for safety, image quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in ER, OR, and inpatient settings
• Conduct portable X-ray imaging for patients of all ages, including geriatric populations
• Operate imaging equipment such as GE systems, Carestream, and OEC C-Arms
• Ensure proper patient positioning and high-quality diagnostic images
• Maintain radiation safety standards and regulatory compliance
• Document imaging procedures using Cerner EMR or equivalent systems
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to support patient care
• Provide patient education and comfort during imaging procedures

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Radiology / X-Ray Tech experience
• Experience in Level I or Level II Trauma environments (ER, OR, inpatient, or outpatient)
• Experience performing portable imaging studies
• Proficiency with GE imaging systems, Carestream, OEC C-Arms, and Cerner EMR
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environments

Education & Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• ARRT (RT) – Registered Radiologic Technologist (Required)
• BLS (Healthcare Provider) Certification
• CT registry or registry-eligible preferred
