Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

• Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a critical care setting.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in New York State.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• Must have completed at least one successful traveler assignment (new travelers not considered).
• Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and ability to assess patient needs (clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual).
• Ability to recognize safety issues and implement safe patient handling practices.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and prioritization skills; may assume charge nurse duties.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Certifications

• BLS required
• ACLS required
• PALS preferred
• Coronary care course or challenge exam within orientation period
• Basic lethal dysrhythmia within six months of employment
• NIHSS certification within the first 6 months
