  • Provides specialized nursing care in the Interventional Radiology (IR) department, supporting minimally invasive procedures. Responsible for patient assessment, procedural assistance, and post-procedure monitoring while ensuring adherence to radiation safety and clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care before, during, and after IR procedures
  • Assist physicians during procedures, maintaining sterile technique and safety
  • Monitor patient vitals and response throughout procedures and recovery
  • Administer IV medications and contrast agents
  • Follow radiation safety protocols for patients and staff
  • Provide post-procedure care, monitor for complications, and educate patients
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
  • Float to other units as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience
  • Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience

Experience in ambulatory care, radiation safety, and post-procedure recovery

  • Strong IV therapy skills
  • Ability to work in high-acuity environments
  • Stress test experience preferred
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred
  • Willingness to float as needed

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
