  • Provides specialized nursing care in Interventional Radiology (IR), supporting minimally invasive procedures. Responsible for patient assessment, procedural assistance, and post-procedural monitoring while following clinical and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after IR procedures
  • Assist physicians during procedures, maintaining sterile technique and patient safety
  • Monitor patient vitals and responses during procedures and recovery
  • Administer IV medications and contrast agents as required
  • Implement radiation safety protocols for patients and staff
  • Provide post-procedural care, monitor for complications, and educate patients
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
  • Float to other units as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology nursing experience
  • Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience

Experience in ambulatory care, radiation safety, and post-procedural recovery

  • Strong IV therapy skills
  • Ability to perform in high-acuity procedural environments

Experience with stress test performance preferred

  • EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
  • Floating as required

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
