- The Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery will support an outpatient high-risk OB clinic, providing specialized maternal care including fetal monitoring and clinical support for high-risk pregnancies. The role also involves precepting and mentoring staff within the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Perform fetal monitoring and assess maternal-fetal status in a high-risk outpatient setting
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for high-risk obstetric patients
- Assist with clinical procedures, including IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation support
- Educate patients on prenatal care, treatment plans, and risk management
- Collaborate with OB/GYN providers and interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care
- Precept and support training of new or transitioning staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical standards
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and escalate clinical concerns
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Maternal and Child (L&D or OB) experience
- Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
- Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
- Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills in high-risk OB care
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
