  • The Oncology Registered Nurse provides specialized care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, including chemotherapy and related therapies. This role focuses on patient assessment, care coordination, and management of oncology-specific treatments in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy and oncology treatments per established protocols
  • Perform patient intake, assessments, and ongoing monitoring
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and symptom management
  • Monitor patient responses to treatments and identify adverse reactions
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Oncology experience in hospital or outpatient settings
  • Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience
  • Strong patient intake and assessment skills

Experience administering chemotherapy treatments

Experience in medical oncology care

  • Familiarity with EMR systems preferred
