  • The Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatrics provides comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients, including pre- and post-operative care, in an acute care setting. This role requires strong clinical assessment skills, effective care coordination, and adherence to established nursing standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Provide direct bedside nursing care to pediatric patients, including pre- and post-surgical care
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses
  • Perform clinical procedures such as IV therapy, catheter insertion, and dressing changes
  • Monitor vital signs and report adverse reactions or changes in patient condition
  • Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment; document clinical measurements
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on treatment planning and discharge processes
  • Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and ongoing care
  • Maintain accurate patient records, charts, and documentation in EMR systems
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and nursing best practices

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Rehab experience in a large acute care hospital (recent experience within the past year required)

  • Telemetry monitoring

EPIC EMR

Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited institution
