SQL/Power BI Developer

• We are seeking an experienced SQL/Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong database and reporting expertise, with hands-on experience in Power BI, SQL, and data modeling.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements.
• Design and create data models for querying raw or processed data from data lakes and other sources.
• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports based on business needs.
• Write and execute DAX queries and functions within Power BI.
• Implement processes to maintain data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance.
• Transform complex data into visuals including graphs, charts, and maps.
• Monitor and improve Power BI reports for performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Participate in standup meetings and provide progress updates.
• Prepare technical documentation and demonstrate dashboards/reports during presentations.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience with BI tools, Power BI, and data analytics.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL; ability to write queries and stored procedures.

Experience in designing data models and understanding database design principles.

• Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration from multiple sources, including data lakes, cloud platforms, and Excel.

Experience with On-premises Data Gateway architectures and large data volumes from cloud environments.

• Familiarity with Power BI security and governance policies.

Experience with ODBC connectors.

• Ability to translate complex data into interactive visuals.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration and presentation.
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Java, or C# is a plus.
