  • We are seeking an experienced IT Technical Transition & Knowledge Transfer Manager to lead critical transition activities for large-scale IT modernization programs.
  • This role is responsible for managing technical support transitions, vendor handoffs, and knowledge transfer initiatives, ensuring operational readiness, security compliance, and seamless continuity of services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Azure, .NET environments, and DevOps, combined with proven leadership in managing complex, high-visibility IT transformations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transition & Knowledge Transfer Leadership Lead and execute IT transition and knowledge transfer strategies Define, manage, and track all transition-related tasks, milestones, and deliverables Ensure successful transition from vendor-led to internally supported environments Enforce documentation standards and knowledge transfer completeness

Program & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary liaison between vendors, internal IT teams, and business stakeholders Collaborate with program leadership, project managers, and technical teams Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and executive-level reporting Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and delivery

Vendor & Risk Management

  • Manage vendor transition activities and enforce contract deliverables
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies related to transition activities
  • Develop mitigation strategies and escalate critical concerns as needed

Operational Readiness & Support

  • Ensure production readiness, including monitoring, support models, and SLAs
  • Validate disaster recovery, security compliance, and operational processes
  • Support implementation of IT service management practices (incident, change, problem management)

Agile Delivery & Collaboration

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
  • Work closely with developers, SMEs, and stakeholders in an Agile environment
  • Align transition activities with ongoing development and release cycles

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in IT, including:
  • IT transition management / technical program management
  • Application or infrastructure operations leadership

Experience leading

  • Vendor-to-internal support transitions
  • On premises to cloud migrations
  • Proven ability to manage complex, enterprise-level IT transformations

Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of .NET application architecture

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including

  • App Services / Functions
  • Azure SQL, Storage, Key Vault
  • Azure Monitor & Application Insights
  • RBAC and managed identities

Experience with

  • Azure DevOps & CI/CD pipelines
  • Operational monitoring and support models
  • Familiarity with ReactJS applications (support perspective)

Management & Leadership Skills

  • Strong vendor management and stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical risks into executive-level insights

Experience leading cross-functional and matrixed teams

  • Excellent facilitation, decision-making, and organizational skills

Operational & Process Expertise

Experience with ITIL-aligned service management practices

Knowledge of

  • Incident, problem, and change management
  • Production support and operational readiness models
  • Strong documentation and governance discipline
  • Ability to design and execute phased transition plans
