  • We are seeking a highly experienced Systems Analyst 3 with strong Cerner Millennium CCL expertise to support large-scale EHR migration and data transformation initiatives for the State of Texas.
  • This role requires deep knowledge of clinical workflows, Cerner Millennium architecture, and hands-on CCL development, along with strong experience in data extraction, ETL processes, and healthcare integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document clinical workflows across healthcare environments (inpatient, outpatient, ancillary)
  • Translate business and clinical requirements into technical specifications
  • Design, develop, and optimize Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts
  • Perform data extraction, validation, and reconciliation from Cerner Millennium (Oracle DB)
  • Support EHR data migration, reporting, and legacy system retirement
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines, flat files, and data feeds
  • Troubleshoot CCL performance and integration issues
  • Act as a liaison between clinical stakeholders and technical teams
  • Manage batch jobs and support production/non-production environments

Required Skills

  • 11+ years of experience in healthcare IT / systems analysis
  • Strong expertise in Cerner Millennium & CCL (must-have)

Experience with EHR implementations, migrations, or optimization

  • Proficiency in SQL, Oracle DB, Linux/Unix
  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes & data integration
  • Knowledge of REST/SOA services and system integrations

Experience with data extraction, transformation, and reporting

  • Programming experience in Python / Java / C / C++ / Perl
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience as a Cerner Consultant / Technical Lead

Experience with Cerner Millennium environments (production support)

  • Familiarity with healthcare analytics and reporting tools
