Job Summary

  • Seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform CT scan procedures utilizing prescribed imaging techniques and protocols in a fast-paced acute care environment. The technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations while ensuring quality imaging, patient safety, and accurate documentation. First-time travelers will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scan procedures using prescribed imaging techniques and protocols
  • Review imaging requisitions for accuracy and completeness
  • Select appropriate CT protocols and technical factors for optimal image quality
  • Perform scans for various anatomical regions and pathological processes
  • Administer and document IV and oral contrast media
  • Complete screenings, consents, and image documentation in Cerner
  • Scan and upload required paperwork into the EMR system
  • Start peripheral IVs as needed
  • Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Maintain patient safety and quality standards during imaging procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of CT Tech experience required
  • Cerner experience required
  • First-time travelers accepted

Experience with

  • Abdomen and pelvis imaging with and without contrast
  • Chest imaging with and without contrast
  • Head and neck imaging
  • Spine and musculoskeletal imaging
  • Vascular CTA
  • Brain perfusion
  • Coronary CTA

Experience in

  • Adult acute care
  • Adult outpatient settings
  • Emergency Department
  • Pediatric acute care
  • Adult ICU

Experience with GE, Siemens, and PACS systems preferred

  • Operating room, NICU, and PICU experience preferred

Certifications

  • ARRT (R) required
  • BLS required
  • ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
  • License: Maryland License required
  • Facility Details
  • Acute care imaging environment serving adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
  • Performs diagnostic and specialized CT procedures
  • Uses Cerner EMR and PACS imaging systems
